Welcome to the West Midlands Virtual Hospital

Your Gateway to Procurement Innovation and Supply Chain Opportunity

Welcome to the West Midlands Virtual Hospital. This pioneering 3D procurement tool has been designed to showcase the West Midlands supply chain to professionals who commission, specify, engineer, build and operate healthcare facilities across the globe.

Collectively, businesses in the West Midlands region are capable of providing almost everything required for a state-of-the-art hospital. This project also supports the procurement process for a real-life hospital: the Midland Metropolitan in the West Birmingham area of Smethwick.

How does it work?

Feel free to explore the hospital at your own pace. As you move around, you can browse for high-quality suppliers by typing in keywords. (If you are an aspiring supplier to the Midland Metropolitan you can search for current materials and works packages.) Clicking on components in the 3D rooms will also bring up complete lists of relevant suppliers.
